Our food budget this month is donated to Katrina victims

There are other people in this country that could use a bit of help much more than I need to pack down a few more expensive meals for a review. Instead I’ve donated my food budget this week to the Red Cross. There will be a review towards the end of this week (I’ve eaten the food already), but there will be a bit of a lull after that. I hope you understand.

Good for you. My wife and I are donating local. ;-) We’re giving to Mercy Corps. You can indicate that you want your donation to go towards Hurricane Katrina. I heard today about a lady in Idaho who is offering a room up on Craigslist for a family.

I’ve heard that the American Cross might train people to volunteer for a couple weeks, too.

I hope bloggers will be as active with Katrina as they were with the tsunami. They’re going to need it. (I heard Wal-Mart today donated $1 million.)

Thanks for leading the way on this. I wish all bloggers would follow your lead.
