Portland Restaurant Survey For 2009

Now with even more prizes!

I haven’t done this since 2006, but I’ve decided to run a “Best of 2009″ survey.

There are 26 questions total. As an incentive, if you answer at least 15, you’ll be entered in a random drawing, with $25.00 gift certificates provided by the following fine Portland businesses:

Story Teller Wine (SWC) is a small band of wine pirates holed up in South Portland’s Johns Landing neighborhood. SWC is definitely not your average “brick and mortar” wine store. SWC more closely resembles the mythical village of Brigadoon, only popping open on Fridays and Saturdays, much to the delight of the locals. SWC keeps about 100 wines in stock at any given moment and holds tastings every Friday evening and during the day on Saturdays. But the real fun is to be found in their newsletter, which goes out by email twice a week. 5511-B SW Hood Ave., Portland, OR 97239

Barista – Preparing coffee is not just something that we do in between gigs or something to get us through college. Instead, we take pride in the craft of being BARISTA. 539 NW 13TH AVE. Portland, Oregon. Open 7am to 6pm daily.

HealthQuest Spa is  located in and part of the Center for Natural Medicine. We have FABULOUSLY skilled massage therapists and just won Best Therapeutic Massage @ citysearch. You can see all the details on our website. We are easily located at SE 39th & Madison, one block North of Hawthorne.

SuperDog offers a wide variety of the best tasting gourmet sausage sandwiches – ranges from Nathan’s all beef frank, to tasty German Brat, to lean & flavorful chicken, to local Tofurky vegan sausage. We serve our sausages hot and fresh over toasted artisan bread, with plenty of free condiments: kraut, gourmet mustards, onions, relish and jalapeno slices. We also carry board selections of toppings – house made all meat chili, Tillamook cheese, grilled vegetables…etc. At SuperDog, if you do not like your purchase for any reason, we will gladly give you a refund or exchange for something else. We’re not happy until you are 100% satisfied.

The Hop & Vine is a cozy neighborhood bar and bottleshop located in Overlook Village, just a three block walk off the max line. We carry 150+ bottles of beer, 200+ bottles of wine, have 5 rotating taps and a large selection of spirits. Our food is focused on small plates using fresh local seasonal ingredients, some from our backyard.

You’ll find a link to the survey on the right side of the home page, 1/2 way down.

I think the survey should have included a best lunch spot with the newer options for fantastic sandwiches like Bunk, Meat Cheese Bread, Laurelhurst Market, etc.

  2. bernard says:

Dont’ forget “Best Wine Bar” with nominations like Kir and Bar Avignon…
