The Free House Bar Closes

The Free House, a great little neighborhood spot at 1325 NE Fremont St., is out of business. The sign on the door says closed for remodel, under new management” and the Free House sign is gone. Typhoon Restaurants Close All Stores

After 17 years of operation, all Typhoon restaurants have closed. Locations in Portland, Beaverton, Gresham, Bend and Redmond, Washington were shuttered last night at 9:00pm. Sterling Coffee Roasters to Close, Move to New Location

Sterling Coffee, the little walk-up next to Trader Joe’s on Glisan, has lost their lease. The shop, owned by Adam McGovern of Coffeehouse Northwest, is a popular destination because of their commitment to micro-roasting, and the passion of their employees.
