To give us time for judging, the food haiku closes tonight, Thursday.
We’ve had some great entries this year! I’ve wanted to comment on many of them, but have been keeping my mouth shut (for a change). The judging will take place Friday and Saturday, the winner will be annouced Saturday night. Be sure to check back and see if you are the winner, since the Taste of the Nation event is next Monday the 27th!

Moved to the suburbs–
Love the newfound roach coaches,
Wine country so close.
Reserve pinot noir
Short-lived like a one night stand
Lively juiciness
Two glasses of wine
No more or your heart will stop.
Come, let’s live through three.
Give me some pasta
forkfuls of love and ruin.
The wine’s nearly gone.
THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED
All haiku are being checked for the proper number of syllables. Dictionary.com is being used when there is any doubt. The remaining entries will be sent to the judges Friday morning. I hope to have the results in Friday night.
Thanks for participating!
