I will be doing a Valentine’s Day roundup as I have done for other holidays/events. To be included in the post, you must have the information to me by February 9th. Please include a title for your event, a brief description, cost, location, address, and reservation phone number. The entire entry should not be over 150 words.
New this year: you may include a thumbnail photo/graphic. It will appear both in the roundup and the posting on the press release site. Thumbnails need to be 110 x 110 pixels to be included. Please send them to pdxfoodpress@gmail.com

looking forward to it!
By Feb. 9? Wouldn’t most places pretty much already be booked up for Valentine’s Day dinner at that point?
My Valentine’s day event is called “Married With Three Young Children and Both Parents Working and Going To School.” The evening will start with the chef (myself) preparing variations on the grilled cheese sandwich. After much consternation and negotiation, children will be in bed. I will then prepare the finale, whatever vegetarian dish my spouse feels like (I will hope she chooses something edible). After preparing the dish and putting various children back to bed, we will sit down and eat our microwave-reheated plates. When we are done, a romantic evening of “Bones” and “NCIS” on the DVR will ensue, accompanied by some ill-timed laughter when the subject of intercourse is brought up. I will close the evening by opening a beer and a bag of chips, crusing Facebook for old high school flames who might be having a similar experience in hopes of some flirting or even a cellphone cleavage shots while my wife snores in bed next to me.
Joisey,
You’re hilarious! Thanks for putting a smile on my face.
I couldn’t access the Carlyle thread, so I’ll post here:
I’ll miss you : ( Best wishes for all the staff.
