I Love Oregon Wines – Valentine’s Weekend Open House

Wine lovers look forward to the annual winery open houses each Thanksgiving and Memorial Day weekends where they can mingle with winemakers and sip from both barrels and bottles. This year, in celebration of Oregon’s 150th birthday, the Willamette Valley Wineries Association will host I Love Oregon Wines, a two-day open house event featuring tastings and events at wineries and tasting rooms throughout the Willamette Valley. Zwickelmania
This February 14th, dozens of Oregon breweries and brewpubs will open their doors to visitors for Oregon’s first annual Zwickelmania. Zwickelmania is a free statewide event that offers visitors a chance to tour Oregon’s breweries, meet the brewers and sample their favorite beers – all on Oregon’s 150th Birthday. Zwickelmania, takes its name from the zwickel, or sample port which is mounted on the outside of fermentation or conditioning tanks which allows brewers to take samples for quality assurance and control.
